Le 07 septembre 2011 par IvoireBusiness - First and foremost, post african independent states period is an important one in the history of the "Ivory

Coast", for it has laid the foundations of contemporary reality. It constitutes part of what, I would say, the continuing past: economic, political and cultural trends that have been set within this particular period are still evident today. For the mechanisms which have been set within ensured the maintenance of strong french influence on the key institutions of the country, were established during the french settlement period. But since 2000, when president "Laurent Gbagbo" took over, there was a wind of change in the ivorian people minds. Therefore, for many, "Laurent Gbagbo" represents hope and liberty in the country .On the other hand, he has been portrayed by western media as an anti European. Meanwhile, "Laurent Gbagbo" remains till now a peculiar and educated african leader who tried hard to withstand with conspicuous international pressure for eight good years...But right now, even under political curfew, he finally could figure out his former enemies in disguise. But his weakness rested on the fact that he failed to counteract the western media who portrayed as a wicked african nationalist! Finally, he will soon realize that where there is smoke there is also fire!!! Consequently, what happened to him last April 2011 was unquestionably the end and the implementation of an international dark conspiracy of some western power structures, fighting against him since ever. What comes around, goes around; someone said in the Usa!!!
