Tribune: To Fatou Bensouda, The ICC Chief prosecutor
Par Correspondance particulière - Sylvain De Bogou write to Fatou Bensouda, The ICC Chief prosecutor.
Dear Madam,
The matter before us is very important and as I do not intend to waste none of us time,
I shall be Very direct with you.
Do you want to make history by writing your name in golden letters in the book of the great leaders of our world and time or do you want to be remembered as the traitor who let the world and especially Africa down? As you may be aware, our world which is dominated by eurocentrism, uses one of its big weapons to downgrade and destroy any good spirits coming from outside to the Eurozone. In sum, if it is not European, it is not good. This weapon is called “The cherry picking strategy”.
For you and perhaps for the general public, I have decided to briefly explain how this strategy works. In our society as human beings and this is demonstrated through history, the dominant class picks “the trouble maker” and make a “boss” out of him/her. Once in the seat of the “boss”, the former “trouble maker” refuses to serve his/her friends who still think that he/she is at the new post to represent them, to defend them, to die for and with them. The population refuses, in fact, to accept that its friend has changed rank and status. The new privileges keep him/her far from the causes he/she was fighting for some days, months or years ago. In your case, the formula works at the race level.
Your former boss, Mr. Ocampo cooked a tasteless meal with the false accusations against President Laurent Gbagbo. He passed on that outdated meal to you so that you could kill your own brother who was being abused by the Eurocentric machinery because he just wants to open the eyes and the ears of his fellow Africans, including you. Mr. Ocampo took his money and went where the sun rose leaving you in the mess that has almost buried you. Do you want, once again, to be like Mr. Obama, the Rice and other black people used to kill their own people? There is no proof incriminating President Laurent Gbagbo in the assassination of thousands of Ivorians orchestrated by Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy and Mr. A. Dramana Ouattara. But, you are still refusing to become a hero. It seems you have lost everything you learnt during your carrier: APPLY THE LAW. You can regain your respect and become the reference many people saw through your appointment. Just give back to the Ivorians what they have chosen as leader: free President Laurent Gbagbo. The Ivory Coast needs its leader, President Laurent Gbagbo, to return to its “old-being”: A PEACE HAVEN AND A PLACE OF PROSPERITY.
The ball is in your hands, our history is in making, the world is watching; should you be a reference/an example for many generations or a walking cane and a gun for the West against your own people? Do not forget that, tomorrow your current bosses will abandon you and you will be confronted with the wrath of the world. Dirty money does never make us happy.
