Robertson's "700 club" aired a new feature entitled "the bush war", produced by "CBN" reporter "SCOTH HATTCH". "Robertson" claimed that "HATCH" was the first television reporter to accompany "RENAMO" fighters inside rebel-held territory in "Mozambique". The segment featured firm footage of a "guerrilla" exercise in the use of explosives. "A Guerrilla war" is fought with Mind as much as with Bullets", said "HATCH" as the camera focused on land mines with "RENAMO" placed on roads travelled by Mozambican civilians and soldiers. The miners, "HATCH" noted, were designed not to kill, only to maim, "thereby creating along-term hardship of wounded people for the government to care for. Hatch's journey was made possible by THOMAS SCHAAF, executive director of the "Mozambique" information office in "Washington, DC". S "chaaf" is a registered foreign agent for "RENAMO". We facilitated the visit of the Christian broadcasting Network to send the first television team into "RENAMO"-liberated "MOZAMBIQUE", said Shaaf in (June 1987).We’re very concerned that "AMERICA" is on the wrong side of freedom in his issue. In the spring of (1987),"SCHAAF" led a team from soldier of fortune into "RENAMO"-held territory, also for the purpose of preparing pro-"RENAMO" propaganda. According to soldiers of fortune, the trip was made possible by a donation from "LOUISIANA" businessman "JAMES BLANCHARD", who has also appeared on the "700club" to promote the anti-Mozambican cause. Since (1986) ,"Blanchard" has provided medical supplies and radios for "RENAMO". He told the "NEW YORK TIMES" that he gave a total of (50000 US dollars to 75000 dollars) to "RENAMO" between (1986 and 1988).Collaboration with "RENAMO" is a serious matter given the nature of the counter-revolutionaries activities. In APRIL (1988),the US state department released a long-overdue report on "RENAMO's policy of commiting atrocities against civilians in an attempt to weaken their commitment to the government. The state of Department reported that "RENAMO" had killed (100.000 civilians) and that the rebels have received military assistance from "South AFRICA". During one raid in (July 1987), "RENAMO" massacred (380) people, and while the state department voiced its disapproval, right-wing senators "JESSE helms" and "ROBERT DOLE" continue their support for the murderous "FREEDOM FIGHTERS".

(MISSIONARIES AND MERCENARIES):
In (1987) and (1988), a few sketchy news reports indicated an alliance between elements of the Christian right and "RENAMO" mercenaries. On March 23, (1988), the Mozambican government sentenced "IAN GREY", an Australian "missionary", to ten and one -half years imprisonment on charged of conducting espionage for "RENAMO"."GREY" could have received the death penalty but his sentence was lightened, probably due to "Mozambique's desire to maintain healthy relations with "AUSTRALIA". "Grey's defense attorneys claimed that he was merely a "dupe" of western "RENAMO" supporters who had convinced him that "Mozambique" was a place without religious freedom and that he had to cooperate with "RENAMO" in order to spread the gospel. "GREY's captured diaries included references to receiving material support from an obscure ministry called "END TIME HAND MAIDENS", based in "ARKANSAS". The relationship between "GREY" and END TIME HANDMAIDENS" was confirmed in the ministry's FEBRUARY/MARCH (1988) newsletter which encouraged christians to: "PLEASE KEEP PRAYING AND FASTING FOR "IAN GREY". He has now been held a prisoner in "MOZAMBIQUE" for four months on trumped-up-charges. He is accused of being a spy but that is the last thing that young man is. He is only a missionary with a burden for souls. He has been going through deep and terrible dark waters. A few months before "IAN GREY's trial and sentencing, the national catholic reporter 'southern AFRICA correspondent "STEVE ASKIN" had exposed a number of pro-RENAMO US groups. "ASKIN" reported that the Mozambican government was investigating "Jimmy SWAGGART" ministries on charges of providing aid to churches in "RENAMO"-controlled areas of the country. In his (1988) trial, "Ian GREY" confirmed that (he had received aid from "JIMMY Swaggart" ministries. Virtually none of the US press reprinted for further investigated the charges against "Jimmy SWAGGART" Ministries, though a few months later the same media outlets devoted numerous fromt-page stories to "SWAGGART's scandalous affairs with a prostitute. The most important pro-"RENAMO" church group in "GREY's network was fellowship called "SHEHKINAH" ministries", based in "ZIMBABWE" and headed by white ZIMBABWEAN "MICHAEL HOWARD" who had recruited "IAN GREY" into "missionary" work during a meeting in "ISRAEL" ."Shekina" was linked to the believers church of "COALINGA"," CALIFORNIA" (though the pastor there has denied any involvement in "MOZAMBIQUE") and more significantly, to "RENAMO' registered foreign agent, "THOMAS SCHAAF", himself a former missionary in "ZIMBABWE".
According to "ASKIN", "Shekina" conducted a fundraising campaign in the United states which included a handwritten letter to the effect that "HOWARD" and two colleagues had deliberately entered "RENAMO" territory, hoping to be kidnapped. The letter read in part: "What a reward we had when we preached to the commander and saw him and his friend take off their hats and kneel in the dust accepting "JESUS CHRIST! The letter went on to say that RENAMO president ALPHONSE KLHAKAMA told SHEKINA preachers: "We need GOD, WE WANT "JESUS CHRIST"! Another missinary group with a curious relation to "RENAMO" is Youth with a mission(YWAM).In 1987, six white "YWAM" missionaries were held captive by "RENAMO" for three months. According to a january (1988) soldier of fortune article, it is unclear whether the missionaries were actually kidnapped or whether they were merely removed "for their own protection" in the midst of a battle zone. One of the missionaries was a US citizen; the others were zimbawean."TOM SCHAAF" asked soldiers of fortune's, "Bob Jordan" tro rescue the "YWAMERS and, after several attempts, he was successful.
"It's indeed the conspicuous proof that GOD power is always at the center of our daily lives, even in countries at war, god's soldiers can fight spiritually and secretly so as to find the right solution at the right time"!
