like to point out the fact that the name "Kalonji" has got explicitly an african cultural connotation! Furthermore, it seems that it originates from the basin of "Congo", located in "Central Africa", Knowing that the african culture is part of the jamaican culture, as well as most of the black people around the world!(" MUSICAL FEED-BACK"):In 1981, when "BOB MARLEY" passed, a new type of "Reggae" music took over , namely (Ragga, dance hall)...Meanwhile "Ragga" and "dance hall" have blasted the Reggae charts internationally over two decades. On the other hand, basically the conspicuous shortcomings of that new type of Reggae were grounded in a coarse and aggressive language, instead of raising the conscious of the masses high! Today, conscious roots reggae seems to be back again with a new generation such as:"Sizzla Kalonji" and his latest (Lp)"SCRITURES", a great musical achievement! When taking a look musically at this (LP), it clearly shows that we are going back to consciousness Reggae music: The lyric "World cry" seems to be the national anthem of dispossessed people in a system designed around the world, but those sufferers have finally got a spiritual comfort and relief, when following "Jah Jah love"(mighty god love). As far as "cleanse my soul" is concerned, it's a kind of declaration and profession of faith in his own words: "Most high, i praise you, i praise you, i never disobey you". In the same trend,"Sizzla Kalonji" has not taken his sweet home(Jamaica) for granted with the song "In JAMAICA". Finally, he will come to reality through spirituality through the lyric "Scriptures". Moreover, When focusing on the third world wailing wailers national anthem, he sings "What a whoa", as well as "God bless you Mama", a special dedication grounded in an affirmative gratefulness for the mamas on earth: Definitely, the latest "LP" "SCRIPTURES" can be labeled to some extent as one the greatest musical achievements of Reggae music maker "Sizzla Kalonji".To be continued...
