show- live scheduled-June 4th 2011 after an european tour in France and America(Paris-Zenith April 14th), ROUEN(april 15th), Lille(April 16th).First and foremost, "ALPHA BONDY" came into the reggae mainstream with the "LP"(brigadier sabari) in 1981 followed by more tubes such as("Rasta poué" in 1983), "cocody rocks"(1984) "apartheid is nazism"(1985) and so on... Right now, "Alpha Blondy" is paving the way for a new music biscuit untitled "Vision" for this next summer.Visionary he was, he forsaw this in his own words:"I am the sun, fatherless and motherless, turning around and never get weary!(lyrics from "Téré"LP-1984.). Nowadays, "Alpha Blondy" is still carrying on his message based on the african wisdom and heritage through the african reggae music. As "Alpha Blondy' matured in the late 1990, his african reggae experiences broadened by international tours in the whole Africa, USA, Europe,ISRAEL...The "LP" "JERUSALEM" and "Massada" providing ample evidence that "Cocody rocks" experience had a receptive international audience.Thirty years have, of course brought several changes to the reggae music maker. But at the core,("Koné Seydou"" nicknamed "Alpha Blondy", "Abou Bass"(guitar player) and "AMI BAMBA"(chorist) remain to take them to the millenium, and the music pinacle.Basically, "Alpha Blondy" remain now the cornerstone of the african reggae worldwide, and doesn't want to loose his african heritage and culture anymore, therefore he might surely think of an african reggae anthology in the years to come, an eventual worthy legacy for the african reggae lovers new generations all over the world. Time will tell!
