Le 21 juin 2012 par IVOIREBUSINESS - (Reminder of the major facts in LIBERIA):"William TOLBERT" vice president of the former liberian head of state Tubman took over in 1971!Increasingly, he became a tragic figure, because he was accused of
corruption nepotism, killings: His brother was the first largest importer of rice in the country and his daughter was in top gvernment position. Moreover, most of his ministers were from "congos" (descendents of black american former slaves deported in 1820 to found the land of freedom(Liberia).AS a result, IN (1980), Master Sergeant "SAMUEL k DOE" from the "Kran" tribe closely with 16 other native liberian soldiers overthrew president "Williman TOLBERT" shot in his abound! That was the roots of a new redemption council in "LIBERIA" led by a sergent who was (26) years old! But who was "Sergeant Samuel KANYON Doe"?(...)"Samuel Kanyon DOE" was born in MAY 6TH in "TUZON", "grand deh" close to "Blolequin" and "TOULEPLEU"(IVORY Coast).Like over (95)percent of his fellow liberians, "SAMUEL KANYON DOE" was a native, tribal descendent liberian and grew up in challenging living conditions. At the age of (13), he finally began his education and walked (13 miles) to school. "Samuel K Doe" excelled in his studies and skipped several grades before reaching high school. To further his education, he moved to "MONROVIA" and joined the army at (18) years of age. There, he rose through the ranks and completed his high school education at night. On a private note, "SAMUEL k DOE" married his wife(Nancy) in (1972) and they live in "BTC". In (JANUARY 1979), then a sergeant in the liberian army, "Samuel Doe" went through a vigorous training that included leadership communication, intelligence, basic and advanced unit courses, combat and advance, individual(infantery training). He also benefited from military training courses organised under the auspices of the Us special forces. As a result, of his training and diligence to duty, private "Doe" was promoted to the rank of first Sergeant, with the "AFL" Arsenal. On (October 11, 1979), he was promoted Master Sergeant further strengthening his responsibility as Adjudant of the first bataillon. (In early 1980), rising political tension led to the imprisonment of scores of educated natives and the deaths of(70) people due to the rice riots! It was during this political climate that an unknown Master Sergeant led (16) men at arms and seized the presidential palace in "MONROVIA", the capital city of "Liberia" in a courageous revolution on (APRIL 12 1980) called people redemption council: Unfortunately, president "William Tolbert" was killed and (13) senior ministers later executed publicly on a beach in "MONOROVIA". It was indeed the bad sign of what was to come later on in the country...
