maker "BETA SIMON" became a good composer and a prolific artist in term of musical inspiration. His lyrics can record the depth of his relevant message grounded in proverbs, metaphors and african wisdom!
When "Beta Simon" sings "MISSIM DARLEY", he refers to the light in a hole of darkness, a conspicuous metaphor to point out the importance of knowledge and wisdom in our african societies today so as get rid of ignorance. In the same trend, he added there must be equality between men and women, regardless of a status of superiority and inferiority. As far as his approach is concerned, women remain the light and lightning of our daily lives. Talking of "Gossi", he's trying to welcome the new born baby in our african traditional african societies, because in the african culture, one must celebrate the new born baby. But rasta "Beta Simon" remains committed when he moves militant in the lyrics ""ZOPADE", because african freedom fighters and great warriors must take their stance, the elephant stance any time not to be trapped. Moreover, coming back to the black history, he is reminding us half of african people story through the lyrics"Nayio". In his own words, he asserted that:" the first duty of a field slave is to bow down and work hard like a machine. Even if he gets weary, he must have a good smile and never feels angry with the slave master. In addition to that, when the slave's child is weeping, it's better for the slave master to stifle him. Never forget about the black code, "BEta Simon" warned!!!
Down the line, "Beta SIMON" can be labelled as a messenger and philosopher rather than a reggae performer.
